On the front of the van we have the 2019+ bumper with bull bar, complete with Pathfinder lighting, which can also be purchased from Backwoods Adventure Mods. The bumper is made from aluminum so it is functional without weighing us down.
In the back we have the Rear Swing Out Bumper with a tire carrier and cabinet box. The cabinet box has been huge in providing extra storage for all of our outdoor gear like camp chairs that we don’t like to bring inside the van. You can create your own look on the rear bumper with your choice of tool boxes, cabinet boxes, tires and more. Again, the bumper is made from aluminum so it looks tough without adding to the weight of the vehicle.
Our favorite piece from backwoods is the Slim Roof Rack and ladder. This rack looks so good and works perfectly with our awkward layout of solar panels, air conditioner, Maxxair fan, and cargo box. When you place an order, you provide the measurements for and they custom build the deck to fit your roof layout. It mounts directly to the factory roof rails on our Mercedes and works perfectly with any wall-mount awning. We went with the Fiamma f45s which is 13’1″ in length. On the front we have a 50″ Rigid light bar on the front of the rack that will light up the night.
